This page will cover the differences between the Japanese server and the global server. It is assumed that over time global will get most of the changes listed here but there are no guarantees. New characters and gear will not be listed here. Specific missions/events will not be listed, but new categories of events or missions will be. New Mechanics
- Phantom Memory: new element that can be applied to a unit to obtain a specific effect - can be acquired via special summons or coin exchanges. The points used for the special summons are primarily obtained from doing other summons (added March 2022 in Japan)
Upgrades to Existing Mechanics
Truth Seals (Runes)
- You can automatically burn runes if you get too many. (added June 2020 in Japan)
- Added berserk resist to Lust runes and disable support resist to Greed runes (added October 2021 in Japan)
- Added option to adjust runes from the party unit screen. Arena and mercenaries now have separate rune configurations. (added December 2021 in Japan)
Weapon Enlightenment
- Bow enlightenment skills added. (added June 2021 in Japan)
Babel Expedition
- 2nd level skills added for Gluttony Foss and Northern Pride (added December 2021 in Japan)
- Lost Blue skills added (added February 2022 in Japan)
Auto Repeat
- Removed minimum level to use Auto Repeat (added December 2021 in Japan)
Upgrades to Existing Events
- Mystic World Mobius gives 50 gems for first meeting a certain number of people (not sure how many is the cap)
- Mystic Tower Veda sells 2 full sets of a random unit's job+ equipment in the shop (varies each shop reset)
- Gold rush drops increase (Added March 12, 2020 in Japan)
- Elemental milestones added up to 340 quests per element (Added August 2021 in Japan)
- Arena win streak bonus changed to total wins bonus (Added October 2021 in Japan)
- Alchemia Port Raid changed to allow any boss within the current lap to be challenged regardless of order (Added October 2021 in Japan)
- Added option to block use of specific units in Draft Match (Added December 2021 in Japan)
Quality of Life Changes
- Tutorial reroll feature includes all non-collab units (note that in Japan they do not get the 150 shards for the unit that we do in the global version)
- Added shards of some time limited event gear to the Phantom Battle Coin Exchange (added April 2021 in Japan)
- Statue quests made available every day of the week (added June 2021 in Japan)
- New unit special training ground sometimes available with for experience for specific units - this only seems to run occasionally with different featured units each time (added June 2021 in Japan)
- Permanent Vision Quest 3/day 1% alchemic boundary added for all mementos (added August 2021 in Japan)
- Permanent Enlightened Weapon Skills quests added (added October 2021 in Japan)
- Option to reset and set newly acquired enlightened weapon skills after completing a quest (added October 2021 in Japan)
- Added display of owned unit shards and bonuses such as 2x drop in batch skip screen (added October 2021 in Japan)
- Gear limit increased from 2000 to 2500 (added November 2021 in Japan)
- Added Enlightenment Mastery, which gives rewards based on the number of units you have with all 7 enlightenment gates maxed (added November 2021 in Japan)
- Removed cooldown on skill training (added December 2021 in Japan)
- Added option to disable skills modified by mementos (added December 2021 in Japan)
- Replaced daily quests for Alchemia Pots, Gold, Ore and Apples with new combined Treasure Room quest and added another new Gold Rush (added December 2021 in Japan)
- Added permanent quest for farming Otherworld Tokens (added December 2021 in Japan)
