Silencing Rod
One of the rods that mages are first permitted to use after graduating from trainee status. The gemstone at its tip glows with a soft, milky-white light when magical energy is channeled into it. When swung it occasionally invokes an anti-magic effect, preventing magical attacks by enemies.
